On the afternoon of June 10, 2026, Professor Yoon-Ho Cho from Chung-Ang University, Korea, visited the College of Transport and Communications and delivered a lecture titled "CRCP Design Method for TBM Tunnels" in classroom 115.
Professor Cho introduced Korea’s expressway development, then explained the design of Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement (CRCP) for TBM tunnels using FEA and Accelerated Pavement Testing. He also applied the method to heavy-duty port pavements, highlighting improved durability and reduced maintenance costs. The lecture offered valuable insights for rigid pavement design in tunnels and ports.
