3. Subject Description:

The course aims to familiarize and to enhance the ability of students in the use of financial, economic, administrative and technological tools necessary to managers and industry leaders, companies and organizations on transportation sector.

In this course we apply in practice the knowledge of the theoretical courses (Economics, Finance, Statistics etc.) with developing research work. The basis of the course comes from the application of the principles of financial management, strategic management and investment projects, industrial economic, financial governance and quantitative methods in transportation and supply chain sector.

4. Learning Outcomes:

On successful completion of this module the learner will be able to:

have a knowledge and understanding of survey and experimental design, including different kinds of sampling strategies.

use various methods of data analysis for theory building including hypothesis testing.

have a knowledge and understanding of the underlying principles of the methods used to collect and analyze data

be aware of the limitations of knowledge claims and warrants from quantitative and qualitative analysis

be aware of ethical issues in quantitative and qualitative strategies

to exercise critical evaluation and judgment in all aspects of their work in this module
