On May 27, Grade 2023 international students majoring in Logistics Management took part in a field study at China Maritime Museum to learn about China’s maritime history and historic Sino-African maritime trade connections.
With professional guides, students toured exhibition areas featuring antique treasure ships and maritime relics. Guides outlined the evolution of China’s maritime development and elaborated on historic Sino-African shipping ties via the ancient Maritime Silk Road. During the visit, students observed shipbuilding techniques and navigational instruments, raised questions actively, communicated and took photos with local student visitors.
Integrating classroom theories with off-campus practice, this activity highlighted the college’s international cooperation features, expanded the logistics majors’ professional horizons, promoted China-Africa cultural exchanges and boosted the quality of international talent cultivation.
