In order to better understand international students’ academic progress and life in China, listen to their needs, address concerns and provide guidance, a symposium for international students in Transport Planning and Management was held on June 1, 2026. The meeting was presided over by Guo Xianfeng and attended by Associate Professor Xu Zui, as well as the 2025cohort international master’s and doctoral students.
The symposium was held in a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere, with equal emphasis on academic guidance and life care. Academically, teachers and students conducted in-depth discussions on curriculum design, teaching coherence, language adaptation, research requirements, paper publication and graduation procedures. Key time nodes were clarified, and issues such as course depth, teaching differences and research pressure were addressed. For daily life, international students spoke freely about daily adaptation, cultural integration and life convenience. Teachers listened attentively, responded warmly and offered practical suggestions and support.
This symposium built an effective communication bridge. It clarified training requirements and resolved academic doubts, while conveying the college’s care and alleviating adaptation pressure, helping international students study with peace of mind, live happily and successfully complete their studies in China.
