Port Collecting and Distributing Road Engineering Laboratory is a teaching-research laboratory, used for the testing in roadbed, pavement and yard for research and teaching purposes. In addition to the traditional tests in roadbed and pavement (including flexible and rigid pavements) for road, yard and port operation area, it also intends to purchase FWD made in Demark (pulse power deflection instrument, Falling Weight Deflectomete, Dynatest), EP-71011 high-speed detection radar, Sweden RST (the laser road section tester, Laser Road Surface Tester) and other high-end instruments, to facilitate the improvement of the teaching and research of traffic and port & shipping management in civil engineering aspects in SMU.
