Laboratory for Logistics Spatial Analysis of Shipping and Port

1.Mission of Laboratory
☆The laboratory consisting of an array of professional talents, targeting at the maritime, shipping and port, relying on the key subject construction, stands at frontier of logistics spatial data analysis by using space scale analysis method. It cross-integrates the transportation planning, geographic information and spatial analysis. It is also an innovative teaching research platform of shipping and port logistics spatial analysis.
☆The platform develops the students’ active learning and the ability of work independently to realize the inquiry and problem-solving teaching modes via spatial data analysis-assisted software for its data polyphyletic, space multi-level and well information medium reusability.
☆The purpose of the laboratory is to train students to grasp the ability of understanding and using theoretical knowledge to support the research of maritime, shipping and logistics theory, technology and application problem of great significance, build a contingent of top-notch researchers and turn into a innovation experiment base of teaching, research and simulation practice in the virtual logistics space layout planning and spatial data analysis of port and shipping’s application service.
